Ekushey February was observed

INTERNATIONAL TURKISH HOPE SCHOOL CHITTAGONG BRANCH OBSERVES INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY

Marking February 21^st and International Mother Language Day, International Turkish Hope School Chittagong Branch organized a programme on the occasion of International Mother Language Day today, 21^st February, 2012, at its own campus in Nasiraban H/S.

The programme was carried out by junior and senior section students. It started with Surat-ul Fatiha and National Anthem, and included placing of floral wreaths at the Shaheed Minar, at the school campus. A cultural gathering which included the recitation of poetry and patriotic songs by the students where performed effectively.

Mr. Ismail Akbas, Head of Section of Chittagong Branch, said in his speech that `Bengali was proudly recognized in our personal, social and state life. It has become now established medium of its use in expressing philosophy, science, economics, etc. We hope Bangla do expands its arena more and more`.  

Mr. Bayram Saatci, Principal of International Turkish Hope School, said in his message that `It is a matter of pride and glory for the nation that February 21 is now observed all over the world. On this day, people in 185 countries promise to converse their mother tongues like the martyrs of Bangladesh had done nearly six decades ago.` He also added that the spirit of Ekushey February should be upheld to create a better atmosphere for future generations. 

Guardians said, `We are extremely happy to see that our kids are fully aware of this meaningful day of our nation. We thank to the school management and the teachers for arranging such a pleasing function.

ITHS cordially commemorates all the national days of Bangladesh. We are very happy to raise a devoted generation to their country knowing the value of such days and deeply loving their country, Bangladesh.
