International Turkish Hope School Chittagong Branch organized a Science Fair

International Turkish Hope School Chittagong Branch organized a Science Fair on the 25^th February 2012 where the students of the school shared their scientific education and skills. Our students of Kindergarten, Junior and Senior Sections prepared 44 projects including Crazy Talk, Flame Taste, Air Zooka, Circulatory System, Fish, Prediction Game, Cryptography, Muscles, Linear Inertia, Holding Flame on your hand, Solar Panel. Details of comprehensive projects prepared by our talented students were shown to the visitors from these subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer and Mathematics, and Bangla & Turkish Languages.

All the projects enthralled a large numbers of visitors including different professionals, students, teachers, and parents of our school and different other schools in Chittagong. The visitors in their comments appreciated the excellent and amusing display and explanation of our future scientists. The fair involved a lot of hard work of the teachers and the students.

Mr. Ismail Akbas, Head of Section of Chittagong Branch, appreciated his colleague and students for having such a gorgeous fair and said that ‘‘Spreading the excitement of science is a cooperative educational effort. Without the help and support of students, parents, and teachers, this worthwhile event would not be such a great achievement. I thank you for your participation and hard work, and look forward to a fun, successful, and educational events.’’

The Principal of ITHS, Mr. Bayram Saatci, in a message appreciated the teachers, students and all the staffs for their fabulous effort and quality performance and expects that the fair will help and inspire the students of ours and other schools for a long time. He also expressed his great contentment for helping in budding new ideas. He thanked the visitors for their great interests in the fair.

Ethnological Museum Trip-CL 1

     One of the most cultural enriching attractions in the city of Chittagong is the Agrabad Ethnological Museum.  It is a museum that preserves the past, but also grows and develops in line with the growth and development of the country, and is therefore documenting the present for future generations to look back and reflect on. The Ethnological Museum is one of the most specialized museums in Bangladesh and is a symbol of unity and progress.  

     The students of Class 1 Rose and Tulip of International Turkish Hope School Chittagong Branch had visited this museum today, February 15, 2012. It is a museum where all the tribes of Bangladesh, past and present come together. Inside the Ethnological Museum, students saw the development of the twelve tribes Chittagong and the twenty nine ethnic groups that are found in Bangladesh.

The students also visited the eleven galleries in the museum and saw the breathtaking paintings, models, environment reconstruction, maps, photographs, display of weaponry, vases, weaving, clothing, boats, scissors, bamboo pipes, wooden shelves, and ornaments of the tribal community.

The museum has also been extended to include tribes that are located in India, Australia and in Pakistan. The Ethnological Museum is therefore a comprehensive look into the people of Bangladesh and how each tribe used to live, play and practice traditions. It also documents the growth and development of the people of Bangladesh and will continue to enhance their exhibits as these tribes head towards the future.

In this outdoor cultural visit students enjoyed a lot.

KG-2A Seed Project

K.G.2 students are getting ready 

for their science fair and 

they have chosen seeds.

 They will be showing 

how a seed takes into a plant 

and that plant turns 

into a big tree in one day. 

As they all had the chance 

to participate in the tree making project, 

they enjoyed making it with great enthusiasm.
